GlobalTV: Health Matters - The Benefits of Celery Juice

Have you seen #celeryjuice pop up on your social media feeds? The latest health fad to hit this year seems to be drinking 16oz of fresh celery juice on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. This protocol comes courtesy of Anthony Williams, the self proclaimed “Medical Medium” who has written a number of books including one on the benefits of celery juice. His claims are a little outlandish for me - especially when he claims that this juice protocol helps in chronic disease states such as chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmune conditions & even addictions. There is absolutely no evidence to support these claims.
However, celery is packed with vitamins, electrolytes, fiber & of course water so it stands to reason if you start the day hydrating yourself with an antioxidant packed veggie, that you’d start to feel better too!
