Intravenous nutrient therapy, is a concentrated mix of vitamins and minerals that is administered intravenously over a 15-20 minute period. Concentrated amounts of nutrients in the blood may result in organs and tissues receiving greater amounts more quickly. Because the gastrointestinal tract is bypassed, concern around absorption may not be an issue.
